Privacy Policy

DreamTide (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by Leonenko Group, LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app and website (the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, and a securely hashed password, or your name and email if you sign in with Apple or Google.
• Usage: which stories and soundscapes you play, sleep timers, streaks, and saved mixes, used to personalize the Service.
• Children’s profiles: if you create a child profile, the first name, optional age, and colour you provide, used to personalize that child’s experience. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.
• AI story choices: when a parent creates a personalized story, we send non-identifying choices such as the hero, setting, lesson, length, and number of participants to our AI processor. We do not send child-profile names to the AI processor. Names are added to neutral story placeholders on your device.
• Device & diagnostics: basic device and crash data to keep the app reliable.
• Website diagnostics: when an error occurs on dreamtide.app, we receive its allowlisted error class, a broad page group, and a framework error digest when available. We do not send the raw error message, stack, query string, account IDs, cookies, or session credentials through this logger; diagnostic records are processed in our hosting logs to diagnose reliability issues.
• Website analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page performance and aggregate page views. Our self-hosted Umami service measures page views, referral sources, device and browser categories, campaign tags, and selected website button clicks. The providers state these tools use no cookies. Before Umami events are sent, URL data is limited to safe campaign tags; other query parameters, fragments, and query data in referrers are removed. These website reports are separate from in-app listening, sleep timer, or account content.
• Device & diagnostics: basic device and crash data to keep the app reliable. Cloudflare Turnstile may also process your IP address, browser signals, and request metadata when you use a form protected against automated abuse.
• Campaign source (Android): when anonymous usage sharing is enabled, we may read Google Play install campaign tags (source, medium, campaign, content, and term) and, when present, the referring site domain and path. We save these details with a new account to understand which outreach brings people to DreamTide. We do not keep the raw Play referrer string or use this information to identify you across other apps or services.

How we use it

To provide and personalize the Service, process subscriptions, send the notifications you opt into, improve reliability, and understand which campaign sources lead to new accounts. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use service providers only to operate DreamTide. Supabase provides account and database infrastructure. Cloudflare Turnstile assesses sign-in, sign-up, password-reset, and waitlist requests for automated abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics and our self-hosted Umami instance measure website usage and performance. OpenRouter and the model provider selected through it process the non-identifying story choices described above to draft a story. Apple and Google process store purchases under their own privacy policies. These providers may process data only to provide their contracted services to us.

Data retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Device and diagnostic data used to keep the app reliable is retained for up to 24 months and then deleted or aggregated so it no longer identifies you. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Your choices below).

Your choices

• Deletion: delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. See Delete Your Account. Deletion completes within 30 days.
• Notifications: opt out anytime in device or in-app settings.
• Usage analytics: turn off anonymous usage sharing in the app’s Settings screen.
